Actually both of the BBQs have IR rotissiere burners, but one is made of ceramic (CTC model) and the other is what Napoleon calls a stainless steel IR burner. I was told the ceramic are more prone to getting damaged if they get splattered but wanted to know what others have experienced or prefer. Ro...

Ceramic vs Stainless Steel rotis burners
I am looking at getting the Napoleon Prestige II 450RB or the Napoleon Ted Reader 485RB. The 450 has a SS rotis burner, and the 485RB has a ceramic rotis burner. What is the difference? (All the top end models of Napoleon use ceramic)

I was comparing the Napoleon PT450RB at Sobies to the TR485 avail at CT. I quite liked the TR485 for the price but what concerned me was that the flavour bars (weber term ;-) did not fully cover the bottom of the BBQ (as is the case with the Napoleon PT450RB).
