Re: BBQ TOOLS AND MORE...

For beer can chicken racks, don't be fooled with flimsey ones. I bought a double cast iron rack from Bass Pro Shop and it wasn't expensive at all. Works great for two chickens at a time and solid as a rock. Will never tip over.

Re: Charcoal and winter?

While your getting rid of the lighter fluid and picking up a chimmney starter, may I suggest spending a few extra bucks and buying the Weber model. I've experienced a few handles coming apart with the inferior brand you'll see at the Q store. Lost a load of hot coals this way. OUCH. HOT FOOT!!! Chee...

Re: New cooker!

Nice looking set up. If i can make a suggestion, i would place a 24x24 patio stone underneath that cooker. I know for a fact it get pretty hot in the bottom of the unit, even to the point that the wood can & will smolder from the heat. Earl Just curious, wouldn't you need some metal flashing around...

Re: Traegar - Intriguing

I too am thinking about a Traegar and would like to know if it's worth adding the digital thermostat unit or will the "smoke, medium, high controller do just fine? Seems like a lot of extra cash.

Thanks
