I think the primary cooking area is actually in the model of Napoleon but I could be wrong here. There does seem to be some bias for Napoleon I think much of it has to do with sponsorship and employment but at the same time they do may a good product. The fact that they are a Canadian company is one...

Thanks to everyone who replied but I guess I should have explained what I was interested in. I am trying to stay away from them made in China products and the three companies that I have read about are Weber, Broil King and Napoleon. I don't know how true it is but I have read that Vermont castings ...

Just wondering if anyone has some comments on this unit. I can't get to CanadianTire.ca right now so I can't paste the link. It is the TR-485 that I am looking at. Here's the link: http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/product_detail.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1408474396672583&bmUID=1206155069659&PRODUCT...

I would have to say that they were good but I have done better on a gas unit with chips. This was my first attempt at ribs on the WSM and I am happy with the results but I know I have some learning to do. I don't think it has as much to do with the WSM as it does have to do with the rub and sauce I ...

On today's menu...
This is the first time I do ribs on a WSM kinda nervous about it. I have read in several places that the first time you make ribs you shouldn't have sugar in your rub and guess what the rub I have decided to go with has SUGAR. Any way I think that the most important part of this will be to keep the ...

Oatmeal, Whipped cream thingy not cooked in bbq or anything!
Take Oatmeal cookies (we use Dads) dunk them in milk and layer the bottom of a 13x9 dish. Fill in all the holes with little chunks of cookie. Take a tub of Dream Whip and spread it on top of the cookies. Take 2 of your favourite chocolate bars (Skor or Crispy Crunch is what we use) crumble and sprea...
