I'm happy to report it tasted as good as it looked. I burned Maple Leaf lump and half a dozen hickory chunks. My neighbors must have thought I was crazy, hanging around the smoker with a coffee and the camera, talking to myself and shuffling around, trying to stay in the smoke. You know how ML smell...

Tuesday smoke

On Monday my son and I went to Highland farms and picked up a huge shoulder roast for $1.19/lb. We divided it into 2 roasts and made up a nice rub, salted each roast and coated it in the mixture, then sealed them up and put in the fridge to rest for about 20 hours. Here they are out of the fridge fo...

Check out the WSM for sure. I have one and couldn't be happier. Easily within your budget, too.

My kids bought me The Barbecue Bible by Steven Raichlen and it's a pretty good book. It has lot's of recipes in there and a few have been enjoyed by my family and I.

That sounds alright, if Stevo is into it. I don't mind a bit of a drive, just not to the east side or something like that. I use a WSM and a weber kettle (OTG) for the lions share of my BBQ, but I also have a Genesis gasser for grilling. Oddly enough, my wife doesn't like the taste associated with c...

Charcoal, that's a great little shelter for ice fishing, too.
It doesn't take much to do the trick.

Hey, it's no problem. I was right around the corner anyway. Regarding the pricing, that's a good question. The sheet they had posted didn't actually give any other pricing on it, but it did say 12 bags was $14.50 and 20 bags (or more) was $12.50. I didn't pursue it because it's $16 around the corner...

by far not an insult. And wasn't taken as one my friend. :D I found a late running episode of this one and PVR'd it, finally watching it last night. It was funny how Mike asked him the question of how something "already burnt" could burn again, not once, not twice, but three times, and never did ge...

Well, I dropped by Nella Cutlery and the pricing is just as you had first expained-- 20 or more bags is $12.50/bag, 12 - 19 bags is $14.50/bag. I only had room in my work vehicle for 6 bags at most, so I ended up not getting any. It's alright though, there's still plenty of time to put together a bu...
