Looks good Dawg. The new WSM is quite a smoker, I can't wait to hear what the jury has to say about it after using it for a few months.

For now I just use it in a relatively sheltered spot close to the back of the house. It seems to be fairly well protected from the wind and weather there.
A little Q-bana is in our plans, also, but we're not there just yet.

Hey, thanks a lot for the tip. I do believe I'll take them up on the offer and drop in. I love ML lump and I can definitely find room for 6 more bags. Merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year to you and yours. :D edit: I just checked their location in Mississauga and I'll be working within a co...

Sorry to be so dense, Stevo, but what is 'Good Eats'? I mean aside from the obvious answer-- BBQ. edit: okay I figured out what Good Eats is, now I just need to figure out why I would apply for it. I guess I need to watch the show to figure that one out. I've never seen it but I'll have to make the ...

I think I may be interested in at least 5 bags also, but I'd take 10 if I had to. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see what develops in the new year. I live fairly close to the GTA (Burlington) and can travel for pick up pretty much whenever the time comes. Canadaodyowner, are you expecting to ta...

Hey trev The inlaws work a greenhouse in Leamington and they had a few extra POUNDS on Japs so they gave them to me thinking that I would eat them like candy. Well ya after the first one I found that I wasn't as tough as I thought I was. Well now what do I do with them :?: :?: ABT's of course but t...

I always soak them but that's more force of habit than technique. Even soaked I haven't seen them affect the temps much. To be honest I'm not sure how long they stay wet because water doesn't really penetrate much at all.

Wasps are highly territorial and that's why you can buy 'fake' wasp nests to hang up and repel them. Canadian tire had some of those little paper wasp nests on sale a couple weeks ago. Apparently they work quite well.

hello, I'm also considering making my own chipotle powder this fall. I've got several jalapeno plants and they're loaded, so I plan to let a couple dozen peppers mature to red and then give it a go on the kettle. I was going to do a little picture essay of it but we'll see how it goes.
