Flank Marinade

Post by stevo » Mon May 11, 2009 9:50 pm

Just puttzin around today and came up with this one. May be the best flank marinade I've had that didn't cost me a fortune.

1 can V-8 juice
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup worcesteshire sauce
2-3 tbs soriracha (a hot chili sauce)
1 tbs minced garlic
1 tbs prep. horseradish
1 tbs dry oregano
1 tbs dry rosemary
1/2 tbs dry thyme
1/2 tbs ground black pepper

Marinated for 5hrs.

Found that it had a very mild and late heat. I tried reducing the marinade to use as a dipping sauce but it needed someting else. I think that maybe a few sprigs of sage would do the trick.
sit down, shut up and smoke some butts!!!!

I talked to a buddy last night and he thinks that some fresh ginger is what was missing. I kinda believe him. The addition of ginger and fresh sage leaves should do the trick.
