Grand Marnier Strawberries

Post by Hippieforever99 » Wed Feb 25, 2009 11:18 am

Marinated in demerera sugar and Grand Marnier, grilled and served with a dollop of whipped cream.
fresh strawberries (approx 6 berries per serving)
demerara sugar
Grand Marnier liqueur
fresh mint leaves
whipped cream

Marinate berries in Grand Marnier liqueur. Thread 3 strawberries onto each skewer. Place skewer on hot bbq for 30- 40 seconds total for light grill marks on berries. Do not let the strawberries cook long! Place two skewers on each plate shingling over each other, place a ramekin of whipped cream on plate and sprinkle demerera sugar on plate next to cream Sprinkle with fresh julienne mint leaves.

That sounds good, I just bough 4 lbs of strawberries on sale and was thinking it would be neat to try grilling them but wasn't sure what I was going to do with them.
