Hi, my cousin up North has many stumps of Ironwood and tells me it is similar to Hickory when burned...has anybody used it for BBQ before?

Re: Ironwood
I know ironwood gives off alot of heat.(i use it in my outside furnace). It would be good for coals.Ask your cousin if he has any white ash or maple to mix into it when you have the coals set up for your heat.
