Where to buy charcoal?

Post by teebone110 » Fri Oct 02, 2009 10:15 pm

Just curious where folks buy their charcoal during the off season. I think that I should have stocked up, since I can't find any at the regular spots?

Thanks,

Tyler

Stocking up is a good idea ... I usually grab all the Royal Oak Plus briqs I can get when my Wal-Mart blows them out for $4/18lb bag. It's the red bag with yellow label ... I wouldn't use their blue bag Star Grilling lump again if it was free (at least for Minion method ... fully lit is ok).

BBQS Galore stocks charcoal year round ... OGBBQ doesn't?

Tyler,
I get mine at the Rona on Wonderland. Maple Leaf. Also, I know the guys from Delaware got a truckload of Basques lump from JC when he was at the St Thomas conmp. They should have some left. Give me a holler if you can't find any.

I believe Strodes in Brantford carry Basque as well.
