Ottawa Teams - ROLL CALL

Post by Dkoster » Tue May 13, 2008 2:56 pm

I know there is already a post on this forum regarding Ottawa I just wanted to make sure everyone read this one.

We were going through the teams that had signed up and paid for the Ottawa event. After much discussion we decided to post to the board regarding this. We really do need teams commitments for this event, currently there are only 6 teams signed up and paid for this event. Without a commitment from those teams that have mentioned they would be coming to this event we will have a problem running it. Please get your applications in ASAP, also if you could respond to this post letting us know the application is in the mail we can make better informed decisions regarding Ottawa. If you would like to ask questions regarding this please post in the other Ottawa posting so we don't cloud the "yes we are coming" posts. I will answer to the best of my ability any inquiries that come my way.

S&B is in. Just need a new ink cartridge, a stamp, my new cheques and 5 free minutes to fill the thing out and my app. will be in the mail. Same for Paris Scotty - I'll get it mailed in as soon as I can, but you can write us in in pen.

Just to add to Darryls post, if we have 20 teams Ottawa will increase the purse to $5000.00. If we have less than 20 teams then the purse will come from entry fee's only minus costs divided by category and GC.

At 6 teams, it will be cancelled.

Adrienne, yesterday we only had 6 teams confirmed and as of a few minutes ago we have 11. It will not be cancelled with what we have now. Still waiting to hear from a couple more teams.

We are goo to go but it would be nice to have a few more teams to increase the prize pool!

I am in on the amateur side of things.

I will set up the tent and stuff on the Friday night and since I do not cook until Saturday morning I will be wandering around for the night to get some insights on how things are done.

Lets say hypothetically that there was a team who is going to compete in Ottawa, yet they still hadn't got their lazy arse around to mailing in the app/cheque. Should they bother mailing at this point or should I, er um,,, I mean, that team, just bring the $250 with them to Ottawa?
