Plus I had forgot the say in Ottawa in front of everyone that the 8:30am Shot for cancer rise is over $100 dollar which is great. Thanks Swines & Bovines

ok I am done and I am going watch last of the hockey game get sleep and then drive home tomorrow.

No,,,, thanks to all the generous competitors!!! 13 teams and 5 amateur teams - I was figuring $20 - $30 this weekend, certainly not $102! Thanks to Team Cedar Grilling for getting 40 Creek onboard and for the awesome banner! I think together we are all going to make a difference this year. A HUGE congrats to Team Diva Q! What a way to win your first GC - by completely destroying the rest of the competition. I was going to say that nobody is happier for you then I am, but judging from your screams of joy at the awards, that probably isn't quite the case! :D Also, a HUGE thanks to Bubba, Mike and Darryl for making this event happen on next to no notice and to Scotty for pulling the judging together on the same amount of notice. It was great to see everone again and it's nice to know we'll all be back together again in less then a week. Gotta go now and figure a way to get my $#@% together for next weekend!

Thanks for the congrats for our team.

We practiced all winter trying some new things and trying to improve. However as everyone knows its all up in the air and I guess the stars were aligned in our favour for this one comp.

However I will say the one thing I was blown away for was chicken. Nothing could have prepared me for that. :-)

Ill be spending the rest of week practicing for Paris. Thats a tough crowd of judges for sure as they are extremely experienced and have been doing it for years.

Huge thanks to Scotty, Mike, Darryl, and Harvey for making sure the Ottawa event happened. It is appreciated.

See ya next week.

Jason,
I feel terrible. I was completely out of the loop. I had read about CancerSucks on this forum, but didn't clue in that the "SHOT" was to raise money and we were out getting fuel (coffee and donuts!) Well, we got a shot and didn't donate a penny. I promise to get you twice in Barrie, Both my parents are gone because of that nasty disease. Please forgive me.

Gerry, don't sweat it my friend. The shot is completely on it's own, for us to wish each other good luck. The Cancer Sucks! jar is strictly optional and not a prerequisite for getting a shot. Great to see you guys again and we'll see you in Barrie!

Huge CONGRATS to Team DIVA Q on a well deserved, much anticipated, and unquestionable win!

GREAT JOB!!!

On another note, Scotty, there is absolutely no need to broadcast results past 12th place. I think next time you should announce the top 8 and then finish with a " and competitors 9 thru xxx are BLAH BLAH BLAH"
8)

As Earl says "you're still middle of the pack no matter how you hold the sheet"!
There are three types of people in this world; those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who wonder what happened, which one are you?
