We are looking to mimic KCBS rules as close as we can, the primary difference may be turn in times ranging from 1/2 hour to 1 hour between close times. Harv will have the most impact on how things are done. If anybody has a preference I would ask that you make representation to him.

We hope to post a draft of the rules in due course. Our focus right now is to increase the sponsors and amenities for the competitors as well as the public.

I would like to remind everybody that we had originally planned this event for 2010. With the changes this season in Ontario, we thought pushing up the event to this year would be prudent for all of our stakeholders.

Spread the news, get all the teams out, encourage your sponsors to get involved.

I for one would like to see 1/2 hour turn in times. Just my opinion.

Great news, I'll be there.
I like the one hour turn ins, much easier when you are flying solo.

I'd like 1/2 hour turn ins, too, but considering BB's point, think that 1 hr turn ins very acceptable, too.

Will attempt to re-arrange a cater, and also wait for final rules to be published - then approach my sponsors.

Thanks for taking the time to pull together another comp!

Hey if it makes Bryan's time at the event easier so be it. I have no issues with the hour turn in times. It makes it consistant for the Canadian events.

Bryan:
We are going to do our damnest to make this the most cook friendly one around and we're taking feedback from folks who've been to ones like the recent Roc City event, which we hear was outstanding in this regard.
IF it's decided by Harv and group encouragement that we go to 1/2 hr turn ins, I will guarantee that there is a runner provided for you, or anyone else feeling short staffed or overly rushed.

I've always enjoyed the comps that had the 1/2 hour turn ins, but can understand how it would be a much tougher slog if I was cooking on my own. Looking forward to this one no matter what turn in times are chosen.

Folks,
I have always liked the 1/2 hour turns too. Since I have been cooking on my own the longer turn ins make things a lot less hectic for me.
Saying that, since Mike has so kindly offered help in that regard, my vote is for the shorter turn in times also.
I will send you a short email Mike explaining what I am looking for in regards to an assistant.
