Nope not even close to 15 teams.

Ugh. Only 5 teams ended up showing up. This was not good at all.

The site is terrific. The city is wonderful

We got an RGC

first in butt
2nd in ribs
first in anything butt
4th in briskey and chicken.

GC went to a terrific team Prairie Smoke & Spice who are on fire this year this is there second this year. Rob Reinhardt his wife mom and dad are some of the nicest peopl eI have met at comps. Iwas really thrilled to see them win. Disappointed we did not but genuinely happy for them Rob works hard at it and it was cool!

You're becoming quite the travelling gypsy.
Congrats on the contest calls.
Hopefully we can make St Thomas a qualifier.
What's coming up for your next contest?

Congrats to Rob and crew.
You must have got a shipment of hardwood from the East this year.

A little embarrassed that only 5 teams ended up competing, especially since we had 17 teams in Regina 3 weeks ago... But a great time was had by all nonetheless. We were all thrilled to host Danielle, it added an extra element of competition that we all appreciated! What a true ambassador to BBQ she is! Big smiles and handshakes, no ego, generous with her time and advice, I could go on. I talked to a few judges last night, her Chef's Choice entry rocked the table.

And Bryan... no hickory yet, just oak, apple, and birch. The birch was used because I'm at the end of my oak and apple supply but I guess it worked this weekend. I've got 4 cords of oak on the way soon to split with a couple other 'Qers.
